OWU Students Say:
“OWU has provided me with every opportunity to ensure my evolution as a student, professional, and global citizen.”
What Makes OWU the Opposite of Ordinary?

Choices
Select from more than 90 major and pre-professional programs. Our Course Connections networks allow you to study a specific topic in depth over an extended period of time, selecting classes from several departments and exploring how different disciplines view the same subject. It’s the best of what a liberal arts education is all about.

Global Context
Today’s world requires you to understand and appreciate other peoples and cultures. We blend theory and practice in every discipline, and provide you with opportunities for international exposure and engagement that complement the traditional liberal arts. OWU gives you options—Theory-to-Practice Grants, Travel-Learning Courses, and opportunities for significant international community service—that encourage you to encounter the world, broaden your understanding, and prepare to become a global leader.

Extraordinary Faculty
Your small, diverse classes (student /faculty ratio of 12:1) are taught by professors, never by teaching assistants—and the entire OWU faculty is dedicated to your academic success. Our faculty is committed to a model of teaching and learning that extends beyond formal classroom instruction—one that places at its heart a vital role for mentorship and advising, as well as student life, athletics, and other co-curricular activities. At Ohio Wesleyan, faculty members will become your valued mentors and friends.
