  5. Academic Records:  Official or original attested copies of academic records from all secondary schools, universities, or other post-secondary institutions you have attended. The records should include each subject you study and the academic grade/mark or other evidence that you completed the course satisfactorily. Your record should contain an explanation of the grading system. We cannot accept faxed or plain copies of these records. They should be submitted in English or in the original language accompanied by a certified literal translation. Alternatively, you may have your counselor send the records via the Common Application website.
  6. Three letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, or principals who are familiar with your recent academic performance. Those who write the recommendations should mail them directly to the Office of International Admission or you also may place each sealed recommendation letter in the same envelope as other admission materials. If you send the letters via the Common Application website, you may use the Secondary School Report for one letter and the Teacher Evaluations for the second and third letters.
  7. Evidence of Financial Support – We require that you submit proof that you have sufficient funds—at least US$17,000—for expenses for at least the first year. Most students, however, would be expected to contribute more than this amount. Supporting documents might include official bank statements, tax returns, or letters from your parents’ employers that show income or assets that would be used toward your educational costs. These documents may be sent by email.
OWU Students Say:
