Before making the decision to transfer, it’s important that you visit the campus. Visiting is the single best way to know if OWU feels like home. Before visiting, it’s a good idea to contact our counselor for transfer students to set up the kind of visit that will be most useful for you. As an advanced student, you have different needs from those who are just beginning their college search, and your counselor can be helpful to you as you make your transfer decision.
“OWU has challenged me academically with its rigorous curriculum and has helped me discover leadership abilities I didn’t know I had.”
To transfer, apply to OWU using either the Transfer Common Application or the OWU Online Application. If you prefer a paper document, you may download the OWU Paper Application.
We also require:
- A confidential transfer report
- A professor’s evaluation
- An official transcript from each college or university you have attended
- Your high school transcript
- Your SAT or ACT scores
If you are applying for financial aid, the necessary forms and information are available in the Financial Aid & Scholarships section of this website.
An interview, either on campus or by telephone, is strongly encouraged.
Because each transfer situation is unique, it is important for you to work closely with the Transfer Admission Counselor.
If you are an international student and wish to transfer, please refer to our page for International Students.
