The general fees at Ohio Wesleyan are comparable to those at institutions of similar size and reputation. The table below reflects the direct and indirect charges for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Our general fees for 2012-2013 are as follows (all figures are in U.S. dollars):

*Note: Additional student-controlled expenses are estimated at the following levels when calculating a student’s total cost of education: Books and supplies ($1,300 per year) may be charged at the OWU Bookstore to MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. Personal/living expenses vary greatly. Our estimated cost for 2012-2013, including projected personal expenses, is $54,260. Please see the instructions for the Certification of Finances under forms to the left. Transportation costs are not included in these figures.

F-1 and J-1 students will need to certify that they have financial support for their stay in the United States before we can issue Form I-20.

Students who do not return home in the summer should budget approximately $2,000 for living expenses from early May to late August. Students who choose to enroll in summer school should budget an additional $3,000.

Special fees are charged for chemistry labs ($10 per course); studio art courses ($40 lab fees and $75 software fees, per semester); physical education activity courses ($50 to $270 per course); student teaching ($200); off-campus study ($200); and private music lessons for students not seeking the Bachelor of Music degree (varies). Other special fees may be charged for specific academic or extracurricular activities.
